The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the bill on several measures to strengthen the role of territorial communities in land management

The bill (Reg. No. 1159) stipulates significant increase of material basis of local self-government – land resources – by recognizing at the legislative level communal ownership right to the majority of lands located within the territories of village, township and city councils beyond the populated areas.

Participants of discussion deem that the abovementioned measures will significantly approximate administrative services to the consumers of these services.
